Portraiture
We begin our portrait series by learning about proportions. Students will learn general proportions and apply that knowledge to self-portrait observational drawings. Those drawings will be used to create a micrography drawing using words that reflect artist identity.
The first part of this project is due on 12/23. Students must complete a self-portrait using accurate proportions of eyes, nose, mouth and ears. Artwork will be graded on:

The first part of this project is due on 12/23. Students must complete a self-portrait using accurate proportions of eyes, nose, mouth and ears. Artwork will be graded on:
- The eyes about half way between the top of the head and the bottom of the chin.
- They eyes are about 1/5 the width of the width of the face.
- The iris is round and the eye has a highlight.
- The nose and mouth are in proportion to the eyes.
- The ears are about the level of the bottom of the eyebrow.
- The neck is in proportion to the head.
